Oh, I don't see it that way. In the context of the scene this is just a busy but involved mother reacting to a strange event under her breath, then realizing that her child would have overheard and trying to correct the mistake. It's such a true parenting moment that I loved it. The best part is that later in the film the son applies the correct lesson from that moment and the mother proves that what she lives by is the teaching and not the knee jerk reaction.

Just goes to show how a quote can be misinterpreted when taken out of context. I'm glad it wasn't as bad as I made it out to be.
