Mormon Messages

Remember when Elder Ballard encouraged us to use the internet to spread the restored gospel? Here's proof that his counsel was more than an attempt to appeal to a younger, wired generation. I chose this example because it resonates with me, and I think it is powerful for everyone. I don't know that I would have made this video this way, but that's a discussion for a different blog. :)

Hi Adam
I stumbled across your blog on LDS BLOGS. I thought you mighe be interested in a site my wife and I just built called MormonsMadeSimple.com, which uses simple, explanatory videos to explain the Mormon faith. Feel free to feature any of these videos on your blog, or just share them with non-member friends. We're hoping these videos will be missionary tools to help members share their beliefs. Anyway, sorry to spam your comments section. I couldn't find any contact information for you on your blog.

This video popped up on three blogs that I follow within a few days of each other: on Thmazing, Laura Craner's Depressed but not unhappy, and now here. That was one thing that motivated my "Will the be Converted through New Media?" post (though I've had the connection I speak of there on my mind for a while now). Interested how interconnected we really are in blogville. Perhaps the digital world's less fragmented than I sometimes feel like it is.

Ah, the wonders of hypertext and hypermedia...

Uh, that "interested" should be "interesting." (Dang it, Tyler...)
