About Me

I have no idea how to write a bio, but in case you want to know a little bit about me, here are the standard highlights:

I live in Utah with my wonderful wife and eight (8—yes, you read that right) awesome kids. I teach filmmaking, film history, photography, visual literacy, graphic design, stage crew, and hopefully something meaningful to 7th-12th graders at a public charter school. Been doing that since 2011. Outside of school, I also like to make short films and take pictures, and I actually get to do both of those fairly regularly. I like to make stuff with my hands. I sometimes write. I occasionally blog (obviously). I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I'm not sure I'm very good at any of the above, but I sure find the effort exhilarating.

Things I am good at: starting projects, wanting to finish said projects, being pretentious, and misunderstanding things.

Hopefully you enjoy this blog. If not, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I'm glad you're here just the same.
